This will be a video of PCT hikers before they start the trail.
To be included in this video, here is what to do.
Shoot a 60-second video of your honest thoughts on starting the Pacific Crest Trail.
Then upload it unedited to YouTube.
Be real, be honest.
Tell it like it is.
If you have a fear, say it.
If you doubt yourself, say it.
If you’re so excited, you could pee your pants.
Say it.
This is your chance to document your thoughts before you hit the trail.
Your word will inspire others, and when it’s over, you’ll see how much you’ve grown.
This video will be included in the PCT 2026 Hiker Trash Yearbook.

We want to see your fresh-and-clean “BEFORE” 2026 PCT Hiker Trash photo.
Don’t forget to come back and submit your dirty, stinky, “AFTER” PCT 2026 Hiker Trash Photos.
You don’t have to finish the trail to send in an “After” photo; it’s about the journey.
Before-and-after photos will be a great addition to our PCT 2026 Hiker Trash Yearbook.
Submissions for “Before” photos open Feb 28, 2026.
Submissions for “After” photos open in June 2026.
Submissions are made with Google Forms.
