PCT Online Museum
The Heartbeat of the Pacific Crest Trail

Mission Statement

The mission of the PCT Online Museum is to preserve the history and lived stories of the Pacific Crest Trail.

These stories originate on the trail itself, shaped by those who hike or saunter, and endure its long, winding path.
They are the firsthand voices of the trail.

Each year, new hikers step onto the Pacific Crest Trail and become part of its ongoing history.

Through the PCT Online Museum and the PCT 2026 Hiker Trash Yearbook, these experiences will be collected and preserved, rooted in dirt, sweat, resilience, and the shared spirit of the Pacific Crest Trail.

The PCT Online Museum exists to safeguard these stories for those who lived them and for those who carry the dream of one day walking the trail themselves.

I am honored to be the caretaker of the PCT Online Museum.
This role is not about ownership, but stewardship, listening, gathering, and protecting what the Pacific Crest Trail gives freely.

I am Grateful

The PCT 2026 Hiker Trash Yearbook and the PCT Museum are in no way connected with or endorsed by the PCTA.
